Our commitment

We want a community where people can ask a basic question without being made to feel stupid, and disagree about technical decisions without it becoming personal. We're committed to a harassment- free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, caste, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

What we expect

• Be kind, patient and welcoming, especially to people newer than you
• Assume good faith and ask before assuming someone meant harm
• Respect that people have different levels of experience and different reasons for being here
• Give and take feedback on the work, not the person
• Respect people's names, pronouns and boundaries
• Ask before photographing or recording someone

What is not acceptable

• Harassment, intimidation or discrimination in any form
• Sexual language or imagery, and unwelcome sexual attention or advances
• Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks
• Publishing someone's private information without their explicit permission
• Sustained disruption of talks, workshops or conversations
• Recruiting or selling aggressively to attendees who haven't invited it
• Advocating for or encouraging any of the above

Reporting

If something happens, to you or to someone else, tell us. At an event, find any of the three organisers; we'll be the ones wearing organiser badges. Otherwise, email conduct@aaifsl.org.

Reports go only to the organising team. We'll acknowledge you within 48 hours, keep your report confidential, and never retaliate against someone for reporting in good faith. You can ask us to take no action and simply have it on record. That's a valid thing to want.

Enforcement

Organisers may take any action they judge appropriate, up to removing someone from an event without a refund of any travel or time, removing them from our online channels, and barring them from future events. Serious incidents will be escalated to the Agentic AI Foundation and, where the law requires it, to the relevant authorities.

Scope and attribution

This applies at our events, in our chat groups and repositories, and when someone is representing the chapter in public. Events held at a host's premises are also subject to that host's own policies.
